About Me

Hello! I'm so glad you are here checking out my website! Let me share a little bit about myself. I graduated in 2004 with my Bachelor degree in Music with a Piano Performance emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville. During my time in Platteville, I taught private piano lessons to over 30 students. Additionally, I served as the accompanist for two of the University choirs and as an individual accompanist for many university vocal and instrumental students. Many of the area middle and high schools also employed me as an accompanist for their choirs, musicals, and solo & ensemble festivals.

Following my time in Platteville, I taught private lessons to over 30 private students in Montello, WI for four years. I also served as the Montello School District accompanist for four choirs, the spring musical, and vocal & instrumental soloists.

I currently reside in Bristol, WI where I teach private piano lessons. For the past eleven years, I have served as the choir accompanist and Central Swing, INC. Show Band Director at Westosha Central High School. This role includes playing piano for all choir events, playing piano for the fall musical, rehearsing and directing the back up band for the show choir, and accompanying soloists at WSMA Solo & Ensemble festival. In addition to my professional performances, I am also a member of the Kenosha Bible Church worship team where I play both piano and flute.

I have over 20 years of experience in teaching private piano lessons to all ages and ability levels. It is my passion to make lessons fun and watch students achieve their personal goals. My emphasis is on creating well-rounded musicians. For this reason, I incorporate music history, theory, technical exercises, & technology into every lesson. Every lesson is tailored to the individual student's needs, goals, and ability. As a member of Music Teachers National Association and Wisconsin Music Teachers Association I am also able to provide my students with additional resources and opportunities to compete in District Auditions.

I would love to talk more with you about what your goals are and what you are looking for in a private piano teacher! Please feel free to contact me for more information about my lessons and my availability.
